Turning Overlooked Harvests into Sustainable Value
Restoring Rural Economies Through Purposeful Sourcing

At Social Health, we believe wellness should begin at the roots—with the people who cultivate the ingredients that fuel better lives. In northern Thailand, particularly in Lamphun, Chiang Mai, and Chiang Rai, thousands of longan farmers face the same challenge year after year: a large portion of their harvest—up to 30–40%—is deemed “off-grade” due to minor imperfections like size, color, or surface blemishes.

Although these longans are rich in nutrients and safe to consume, they are rejected by export markets and large-scale buyers. For farmers, this results in significant income loss. For the planet, it means increased food waste.

Social Health, in partnership with P80 Co., Ltd., has stepped in to change that. Since 2018, we have supported a rural sourcing model that commits to buying off-grade longan directly from local cooperatives and smallholder farmers at prices 10–20% above market rates. This initiative currently involves over 500 farming families and continues to expand.

The result?

  • A more stable income stream for rural households
  • A significant reduction in wasted produce
  • Stronger local economies and job creation at the community level
  • Enhanced mental well-being as families are no longer forced to separate for urban labor

These off-grade fruits are processed using patented extraction technology developed by Chiang Mai University, resulting in P80 Plus, a functional health drink proven to support sleep, blood pressure, joint health, and antioxidant protection.

This is more than a supply chain. It’s a regenerative ecosystem—where wellness products are born from social impact, environmental responsibility, and deep respect for local wisdom.

At Social Health, we don’t just source ingredients.
We restore value—to people, produce, and the planet.
